Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix discovered early that she had an aptitude to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation and signed a professional deal with the company that makes sports Adidas prior to matriculating in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to take home the 200 meters race. In 2007, she won the title by beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in all events.
